Special instrument set for removing fractured abutment screws and abutments from the implant. Instead of giving up the implant, the fragment is drilled in a guided way, unscrewed counter-clockwise and the internal thread is re-tapped if required.

SAVE THE IMPLANT INSTEAD OF REMOVING IT
When the abutment screw breaks
A screw fracture inside the implant is rare – but when it happens, the entire restoration comes to a standstill. With the ESR Kit, the remaining screw is drilled centrally through a precisely fitting guide sleeve and unscrewed counter-clockwise without damaging the implant's internal thread. If the thread is damaged, it is re-cut with the re-tap. The implant is preserved and can be restored again.
INDICATIONS
Which problem – which instrument?
Indications according to the manufacturer's manual.
Problem Solution in the ESR Kit
Fractured abutment screw Guide + SR drill (counter-clockwise), then SR tip to unscrew
Screw fragment still protruding Screw holder grips the fragment directly
Fractured abutment AR tip in the screw channel, loosen counter-clockwise
Stripped screw hex Ø 0.8 mm round bur for a hole or slot, then mini AR tip or slot driver
Damaged implant internal thread Re-tap clockwise at approx. 30 Ncm
PROCEDURE
Removing a fractured screw

1. Remove the abutment from the implant.
2. Insert the matching guide and align its hex with the internal hex of the implant.
3. Place the ESR handle on the guide, insert the SR drill into the contra-angle and seat it on the screw fragment.
4. Drill counter-clockwise at 1,200–1,500 rpm with light pressure and irrigation until the red marking on the drill disappears inside the guide.
5. Remove the guide and thoroughly suction off metal debris.
6. Insert the SR tip into the guide and engage it in the hole with moderate pressure.
7. Turn counter-clockwise until the screw fragment disengages from the thread.
