How does HYBENX work?

HYBENX contains sulfonated phenols and sulfuric acid in an aqueous solution or as a gel. The formulation rapidly withdraws water from the biofilm (desiccation). As a result, the biofilm is denatured, detaches from the surface and can then be removed by rinsing.

As an adjunct to mechanical debridement, HYBENX makes subsequent scaling and instrumentation easier. The product is free of antibiotics and is therefore also suitable for repeated use during therapy.

FOR CLINICIANS
Areas of application
  • Peri-implantitis and peri-implant mucositis
  • Periodontitis – pockets with bleeding on probing (BOP) and plaque
  • Adjunct to the removal of calculus and tartar

  • Oral surgery, restorative and prosthetic therapy
  • Aphthous ulcers
Manufacturer's note: HYBENX is a medical device by EPIEN Medical Inc. Use according to the individual clinical situation and the manufacturer's current instructions for use (IFU). Images may differ from the product supplied.
