OSSTEM TSIII Narrow Ø 3.0 mm

Narrow bone-level implant from the OSSTEM TSIII family for treatment situations with reduced horizontal bone width. The Ø 3.0 mm implant uses the OSSTEM Mini abutment connection.

Ø 3.0 mm for narrow treatment situations

The TSIII Narrow extends the TSIII implant system with a Ø 3.0 mm implant diameter. It is intended for situations where reduced horizontal bone width requires the use of a narrow implant.

The implant uses the Mini connection and accepts the corresponding Mini abutments. Due to the specific design of the Ø 3.0 mm implant, however, the 0.5 mm offset of the internal connection must be taken into account when selecting the prosthetic component.

Consider the 0.5 mm offset when selecting the abutment

The TSIII Narrow Ø 3.0 mm accepts Mini abutments. Due to the reduced implant diameter, however, the internal connection is positioned 0.5 mm less deeply.

As a result, the inserted Mini abutment is positioned correspondingly higher in relation to the implant shoulder. This design feature must be taken into account when selecting the gingival height.

EXAMPLE · GINGIVAL HEIGHT

Example: A Mini abutment with a specified gingival height of 1.0 mm results in a height of 1.5 mm above the implant shoulder on the TSIII Narrow Ø 3.0 mm due to the 0.5 mm design offset.

PROSTHETIC PLANNING

When selecting the abutment, do not consider only the nominal gingival height of the Mini component. With the TSIII Narrow Ø 3.0 mm, the 0.5 mm design offset must be taken into account during prosthetic planning.

The TSIII Narrow uses the OSSTEM SA surface. The surface structure is produced by sandblasting followed by acid etching.
