ABSOLUTE PRINCIPLE
Insert the abutment, take the impression, done
The Absolute abutment is screwed into the implant with the matching driver and remains in the mouth from then on. The impression is taken directly over it: the impression cap snaps onto the abutment and stays in the impression. In the lab, the model is made with the matching lab analog, the crown is cast over the burn-out cap or made digitally and then cemented. In the meantime, a protection cap covers the abutment.
ORDER NUMBERS

WORKFLOW
From abutment to cemented crown

1. Remove healing abutment, select the Absolute abutment by gingival and abutment height.
2. Screw in the abutment with the Absolute driver and torque wrench.
3. Snap on the impression cap and take the impression – the cap stays in the impression.
4. Place the protection cap, send the lab analog to the laboratory.
5. Cast the crown or bridge over the burn-out cap or fabricate it digitally, then cement.

PRACTICAL TIP: SELECTION
  • Choose the gingival height so the crown margin is at most slightly subgingival – deep margins make removing excess cement difficult
  • Abutment height 7.0 mm for more retention when space allows, 5.5 mm when space is limited
  • Use the bridge burn-out cap for bridges
PRACTICAL TIP: CEMENTATION
  • Remove all excess cement
  • Apply cement sparingly at the crown margin
  • Cement-free alternative: screw-retained restoration with Multi abutment or Ti-base
Screw-retained alternatives: INNO Hybrid Ti-Base →  ·  INNO Multi Abutment →
Note: Selection, tightening torque and processing depend on the individual clinical situation and Cowellmedi's current instructions for use.
