IMPLANT STABILITY · NEOBIOTECH
AnyCheck Implant Stability Meter
Compact device for assessing implant stability using a tapping motion. Measurement is taken directly on the healing abutment – no need to remove it. The result is displayed as an IST value between 30 and 85.
PRINCIPLE
Tapping motion
Light percussion
RANGE
IST 30–85
Initial Stability Test
MEASURING TIME
< 3 seconds
up to 6 taps
CONTACT ANGLE
0–30° downward
with angle control
APPLICATION
On healing abutment
no removal needed
NO ABUTMENT CHANGE REQUIRED
Check stability without disturbing healing
AnyCheck measures the stiffness of the bone–implant interface by lightly tapping the healing abutment. As no measuring post has to be screwed in, measurement is possible right after implant placement and at every follow-up visit. In case of weak osseointegration, the device stops automatically after two taps. The result supports the decision on the appropriate time for prosthetic loading.
READING THE RESULTS
IST value & colour display
The lower the IST value, the lower the degree of osseointegration. Reference values according to the manufacturer.
Display IST value Manufacturer guidance
Red 30–59 Low stability – consider extending healing time and measure again
Orange 60–64 From 60: bridge restoration recommended by the manufacturer
Green 65–85 From 70: single-tooth loading possible according to the manufacturer
PRACTICAL TIP
Correction by healing abutment height
The IST value refers to a 4 mm healing abutment. For other heights, correct the displayed value as follows:
Height 1 mm 2 mm 3 mm 4 mm 5 mm 6 mm 7 mm
IST correction −6 −4 −2 ±0 +2 +4 +6
HOW TO USE
Measuring made simple

1. Switch the device on using the button.
2. Gently place the tip of the tapping rod against the upper part of the healing abutment – do not push.
3. Keep the contact angle between 0° and 30° downward. Outside this range, the device beeps and measurement is blocked.
4. Hold the device steady, press START and read the IST value on the display.

Too much pressure or too great a distance from the healing abutment may cause measurement errors. The short measuring time saves noticeable chair time, especially with multiple implants.
