Cowellmedi Healing Abutments

Healing abutments (gingiva formers) for Cowellmedi INNO and INNO Sub Narrow implants. The height follows the soft-tissue thickness: gingival height + 2 mm – so the healing abutment always sits 2 mm above the mucosa and is not overgrown during healing.

HOW TO READ THE HEIGHT

The size is the gingival height – not the total height

Each healing abutment consists of a transmucosal part matching the soft-tissue thickness and a 2 mm cylindrical head above it. A healing abutment for 1 mm gingiva is therefore 3 mm high from the implant shoulder, one for 5 mm gingiva 7 mm. The protrusion is intended: it prevents the mucosa from growing over the healing abutment during healing and shapes a clean emergence channel for the later restoration.

Total height = gingival height + 2 mm cylindrical protrusion. HR…N and HS…N fit INNO Sub Narrow, the 2HS series fits INNO implants from Ø 3.5 mm.

• Measure soft-tissue thickness with a periodontal probe from the implant shoulder to the gingival margin
• Select the measured value as gingival height – not the total height
• If the value lies between two sizes, choose the higher one so nothing overgrows

• Choose the diameter to match the implant and the planned emergence profile
• Choose the series first: HR…N / HS…N for INNO Sub Narrow, 2HS for INNO from Ø 3.5 mm
• Ø 4.5 to 6.5 mm depending on tooth position – larger diameters for premolars and molars
