OSSTEM TSIII SOI

Tapered bone-level implant with the established TSIII design, combined with the SOI surface: the sandblasted and acid-etched SA surface is additionally treated with UV light and a pH buffer (HEPES). The result is a superhydrophilic surface that immediately wets with blood.

SOI · SUPER OSSEOINTEGRATION

Established implant, more active surface

Over time, titanium surfaces accumulate airborne hydrocarbons and thereby lose wettability. With SOI, UV treatment removes these deposits; the HEPES coating then keeps the surface hydrophilic and establishes a neutral pH. According to Osstem, this allows blood to spread more quickly across the implant and the blood clot to form sooner – a basis for early bone apposition. In suitable cases, this may shorten healing time; bone quality, primary stability and the selected protocol remain decisive.
