WHY CUSTOMISED

The profile is shaped during healing

Round standard healing abutments leave a round soft tissue tunnel – but the crown is not round. The PEEK healing abutment is ground or built up with composite before placement until it matches the planned emergence profile. The gingiva thus forms to fit the later abutment and less correction is needed at restoration – especially helpful in the aesthetic zone and after immediate implant placement.

APPLICATION

To the profile in three steps

1 · Select

Platform matching the implant (mini/regular), height according to gingival thickness and implant depth.

2 · Customise

Grind extraorally or build up with composite until the emergence profile matches the planned abutment. Polish the surface smooth.

3 · Place

Tighten by hand with a 1.2 mm hex. Keep out of occlusion – the healing abutment is not a temporary crown.
