SWISS HIGH-PERFORMANCE CERAMIC
Zirconia expertise from Metoxit since 1990
Metoxit AG of Thayngen, Switzerland, has used zirconia for dental products since 1990 – initially for root posts – and has produced CAD/CAM blanks since 1993, from which more than ten million prosthetic units have been made. The high-performance composite ceramic Ziraldent® was developed for the implant. Zirconia is considered bioinert and tissue-compatible and is also used in orthopaedics for hip joint balls.
CLINICALLY INVESTIGATED
Prospective study at the University of Freiburg
Since 2009, the implant has been investigated in a single-centre study led by Prof. Dr. Ralf-Joachim Kohal (University Medical Center Freiburg): 40 patients with 53 implants, restored with single crowns and bridges after direct provisional restoration.

ONE-STAGE PROCEDURE · IMMEDIATE RESTORATION
What makes the Bio-Z Ziraldent® implant stand out?

The ImplAg Bio-Z Ziraldent® is a one-piece zirconia ceramic implant for a one-stage procedure with direct provisional restoration. The tapered, self-tapping thread with atraumatic apex is designed for high primary stability; the integrated abutment is optimised for CAD/CAM restorations.

Like rough titanium surfaces, the osseoconductive ZircaPore® surface is designed for good osseointegration. The reduced diameter at the crestal emergence and the tissue-friendliness of zirconia support stable, aesthetic soft tissue. As no metal shines through, the implant is particularly suited to the aesthetic zone.

For the practice this means simple surgical workflows, a short learning curve and uncomplicated preparation and follow-up.
