Castable abutment with gold base (Au/Pt/Pd, 1400–1450 °C) for custom crowns and bridges in high-gold alloy. Mini and regular, gingival height 1.0 / 3.0 mm, hex or non-hex, incl. EbonyGold screw.

DEFINITIVE PROSTHETICS · OSSTEM TS
GoldCast Abutment
Castable abutment with a prefabricated gold base (Au/Pt/Pd) for Osstem TS implants. For custom abutments in high-gold alloy when path of insertion, available space or aesthetics cannot be solved with stock abutments – for cement-retained and combination restorations.

CASTING PRINCIPLE
Prefabricated connection, custom post
The connection to the implant is precisely factory-made from a high-melting gold alloy (Au/Pt/Pd, 1400–1450 °C); the post is individually waxed up and cast on. This solves unfavourable implant axes, tight spaces and special emergence profiles. Cast on with high-gold alloys only whose casting temperature is well below the melting range of the base – no non-precious alloy.

WORKFLOW
From model to cast abutment

1. Take an implant-level impression and make the working model with the matching lab analog.
2. Fix the GoldCast abutment on the analog with the lab screw – hex or non-hex according to the restoration.
3. Wax up the post individually – observe the manufacturer's limits for minimum height and angulation.
4. Invest and cast with high-gold alloy, casting temperature well below 1400 °C. Do not machine or sandblast the implant connection surface.
5. Finish, check on the model and fabricate the crown or bridge – veneer with ceramics if required using a suitable bonding alloy.
6. Place in the mouth with a new EbonyGold screw: mini 20 Ncm, regular 30 Ncm.

ALTERNATIVES
Non-precious, digital or prefabricated?
NP-Cast Abutment
Castable abutment with CoCrMo base for non-precious alloy – the more economical option.
To NP-Cast →
TS-Link Ti-base
Digitally designed, zirconia or hybrid abutment on a titanium base – today's standard.
To Ti-base →
Angled Abutment
Prefabricated angled – often sufficient for tilted implants.

SUITABLE FOR
  • Single crowns and bridges in high-gold alloy
  • Cement-retained and combination restorations
  • Unfavourable implant axes
  • Special space or emergence situations
NOT SUITABLE FOR
  • Non-precious alloys (use NP-Cast)
  • Alloys with casting temperature close to the base melting range
  • Palladium-based or reduced-precious alloys without manufacturer approval
Note: With the TSIII Narrow Ø 3.0 the mini abutment sits 0.5 mm higher – separate lab analog GSTLA300. Waxing, casting and use according to the current Osstem instructions for use; selection and processing depend on the individual clinical situation.
